About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources professional to join our organisation. The successful candidate will report to the HR Manager and be responsible for supporting daily HR Operations including recruitment, absence management, performance management, employee relations and engagement activities.
Please find below the key responsibilities of this role:
* Maintain absence trackers
* Identify breaches of absence policy and liaise with Supervisors/Managers to take action
* Carry out absence investigations/disciplinaries with Supervisors/Managers
* Produce weekly absence KPIs
* Arrange welfare/absence meetings for employees on long term absence and those with prolonged short-term absence
* Arrange occupational health appointments, complete referrals and confirm with employees
* Ensure return to work forms are completed and follow up on any missing information
* Support site recruitment and selection processes including preparing and posting adverts internally and externally; maintaining databases of applicants, shortlisting with managers, arranging interviews and interviewing
* Be responsible for the life cycle of all General Operative recruitment & selection
* Support with onboarding activities including participation in HR induction, paperwork completion, enrolment on the clocking system and follow-up interviews with employees
* Prepare and issue employment contracts
* Ensure right to work compliance
* Represent the company at careers events and job fairs
* Promote, develop and implement employee engagement initiatives liaising with the marketing department and external stakeholders as necessary
* Manage employee relations, participate in investigation and grievance processes
* Ensure probationary meetings are carried out by Managers and send reminders as necessary
* Provide advice, support and guidance on HR processes, policies and procedures
* Serve as a point of contact for employee enquiries, generating letters/completing forms as requested
* Manage and support various HR/HSE projects
* Complete KPIs in the absence of the HR Manager
* Inform relevant stakeholders of starters and leavers and ensure necessary paperwork is completed
* Complete exit interviews
