People Business Advisor/HR GeneralistContract Type: Fixed Term for 8 months with a potential to be made permanentLocation: Newbridge, Co. Together, we work as 'One Murphy' by directly delivering the people, plant and expertise needed to make projects a success.MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLETo provide a professional human resource service to the business, supporting the People Business Partner.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESSupport the People Business Partner, focusing on Employee Relations.Assist the People Business Partner with drafting of HR processes and policies in line with compliance requirements and best market practices. Provide process improvement and policy gaps recommendations.Deliver a consistent, knowledgeable, and professional service in areas including, but not limited to, disciplinary matters, grievance handling, performance management, long term sick leave and conflict dispute resolution.Act as a point of contact for ER issues with the ability to offer informal support.Facilitate trainings to build employee relations abilities among line managers.Collate HR metrics required for pre-quals and surveys.Assist with day-to-day HR duties.Undertake HR projects as and when required.Provide cover for other team members during annual leave, sickness, or any other periods of leave.GENERALParticipate in, and positively promote, the Murphy Never Harm ProgrammeUndertake any reasonable duties requested of youCarry out all work in accordance with health and safety and any other legal requirementsEnsure compliance with the Company policies and proceduresParticipate and engage fully in the Performance & Development Review processTravel within Ireland & to the UK will be necessary but not frequentNote: In addition to these People Team personnel are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required to support the objectives of the Country / Group / Company.QUALIFICATIONS / TRAININGDegree qualified in Human Resource Management.CIPD accredited (preferable but not essential).SKILLS / EXPERIENCE2-4 years HR generalist experienceStrong knowledge of current employment legislationStrong experience within Human Resources with a focus on Employee RelationsAbility and confidence to deliver human resource guidance and advice to staff at all levels within the organisation.Excellent administration and IT skills with a high proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPointGood organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.A team player with a collaborative approach to working with others.Previous experience in the Construction industry would be a distinct advantage.WHAT MURPHY OFFER IN RETURNCompetitive salary and benefitsDiscretionary annual bonus and annual salary reviewAbove market rate contributory pension scheme available from day one27 days annual leave per annum.Generous Private Healthcare AllowanceDedicated and continued investment in your professional development.Other Murphy benefits include retail discounts, cycle to work scheme etc.Murphy is unable to employ anyone who does not have the legal right to live and work in Ireland.If you have any queries, please email
