Carpenter Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to carry out various carpentry tasks across the county.
The successful candidate will have excellent practical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have strong problem-solving skills and be able to maintain high standards of workmanship.
* Carry out woodwork and repair/maintenance of council buildings and facilities;
* Work from plans and drawings provided by senior staff;
* Maintain high standards of quality control;
* Participate in health and safety training as required;
* Work according to policies and procedures;
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out woodwork including construction and fitting of doors and windows, staircase installation and other joinery works;
* Repair/maintenance of council buildings and facilities including painting, decorating and other general maintenance tasks;
Requirements:
* Excellent practical skills and knowledge of building methods and materials;
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to maintain high standards of workmanship;
* Good communication and interpersonal skills;
