Cpl Healthcare is seeking applications for the role of Consultant Psychiatrist to join their client's established team in South Dublin.
This role is with a 123-bed in-patient approved mental health service, which provides a broad range of mental health supports and services with a specialist interest in neuropsychiatric services for adults with serious and enduring mental health needs such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Huntington's diseases, as well as early onset dementias, schizophrenia, and mood disorders.
This service focuses on creating a therapeutic environment using recovery-oriented clinical practices and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to enable patients to achieve their highest level of functioning and quality of life. Care is delivered through a multidisciplinary team including Psychiatry, Psychology, Nursing, Pharmacy, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language, Dietetics, Physiotherapy, and General Practice.
To be considered eligible, interested applicants are required to:
* Be registered with or in the process of registering for specialist registration with The Irish Medical Council.
* Possess Specialist registration with The Irish Medical Council, with a subspecialized interest in either Psychiatry of Later Life or Neuropsychiatry (desirable).
* Have a minimum of seven years postgraduate experience.
* Have people management experience or hold a position of additional responsibility in a clinical area.
* Proven track record in leading change and developing clinical services.
* Be an energetic individual with solid experience working collaboratively with a diverse team of clinicians and have strong knowledge of Clinical Governance.
* Play a key role in teaching, managing, coaching, and engaging in the practice and education of medical students, medical staff, and other allied health professionals as appropriate.
* Have good knowledge and experience of health, safety, and statutory regulations affecting healthcare organizations.
* Be able to deliver core contracted hours and undertake on-call services as per the agreed rota.
* Be eligible to work in Ireland.
