Unijobs DAC are currently recruiting for a Senior Administrator.
The position is temporary, full-time, working a 35 hours per week and is anticipated to run until March 2026.
The salary for the role ranges between €57,104 - €69,261 with the successful candidate being appointed a salary based on qualifications and experience.
The post will operate on a hybrid working model with a mix of onsite and remote working.
Onsite location will be TUS Athlone.
The successful candidate will report directly to their line manager and will work closely with the relevant team in ensuring effective and efficient delivery of a high-quality support service to the Institute.
The successful candidate will be required to develop and maintain relationships and liaison with other groups, both internal and external to the Institute, including among others, industrial partners, the international academic collaborators, funding agencies, other higher education institutions, support functions in the host institute (Finance, Research office, HR) etc.
Duties and Responsibilities: Act as an internal point of contact for the centre and centre events.
Provide administration support for centre activities e.g.
room booking, calendar booking, attendance polls, communications, travel bookings, invoicing and reporting.
Organise centre meetings locally and nationally, take notes and prepare minutes.
Administer events such as centre symposia, conferences, seminars, requiring a high degree of personal initiative and responsibility.
Support the organisation of internal and external activities/events, collating and recording defined information documentation as requested, to ensure activities are administered efficiently.
Maintain financial, centre, meeting and review data to contribute to resource planning.
Gather data, prepare reports and other materials, using standard tools, standard formats and software.
Manage own work from start to finish.
Attend centre events and activities as necessary.
Produce management information from data and/or statistics in order that accurate and reliable information is available for unit/departmental decision making.
Develop and maintain spreadsheets and simple databases.
Liaison with other universities, funding agencies and industrial partners in development of collaborative research projects.
Liaison with host institute functional areas of Research Office, Finance, Human Resources, Faculties and Departments.
Participate in meetings and committees as deemed necessary your line manager.
Other duties as requested.
Essential Requirements: Team management experience is needed Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency in administration roles Excellent organisational skills Proficient with Microsoft 365 Previous management experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to deliver to tight deadlines Ability to work independently and on initiative A minimum of 3 years' experience in an administrative role The above list is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all duties involved and consequently, the successful candidate may be required to perform other duties as requested by their line manager.
