Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our growing cloud infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS), with a strong focus on architecture, deployment, and administration of key AWS services. You will play a critical role in designing scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions that align with business goals and security standards.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS best practices.
* Architect and maintain secure, scalable Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) and associated networking components.
* Administer and automate EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Cognito, and related AWS services.
* Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and performance.
* Drive scaling strategies (horizontal/vertical) and resilience planning for high-demand applications.
* Apply security hardening principles to cloud infrastructure, including least privilege access, encryption, and compliance with organizational policies.
* Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines with AWS services.
* Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and performance issues in production and non-production environments.
* Stay current with AWS updates and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations.
* Document cloud architectures, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
What we are looking for:
* 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS in a cloud engineering or solutions architecture role.
* Strong expertise in:
* VPC design (subnets, route tables, NAT, security groups, NACLs)
* EC2 provisioning and optimization
* S3 lifecycle management, replication, and security
* IAM roles, policies, and access control
* AWS Cognito for authentication and user management
* CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and other monitoring/logging tools
* Scaling and load balancing strategies (Auto Scaling Groups, ALB, NLB)
* Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, Direct Connect).
* Experience in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
* Strong knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO
* Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
* Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker, ECS, EKS) is a plus.
* AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect – Professional, DevOps Engineer – Professional) are highly desirable.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
