Project Manager - Finance - Charity - Fully Remote
A Non‑Profit organisation based in Dublin is looking for an experienced Financial Transformation Project Manager to join their Finance team. This is a specific‑purpose contract to play an integral part of the Digital Transformation project. Previous system implementation and project experience is essential. The person can be based from anywhere in Ireland.
Please note that a Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA or CIMA) is essential for this position.
This is a Remote role but will require infrequent onsite visits to the office based in South Dublin.
The organisation is looking for an Accountant with extensive project and systems experience to implement the project with guidance from the Finance Manager & Head of Finance. Reporting to the Head of Finance and Management Services, you will assist the finance team on the Digital Transformation project – working closely with the providers in the design, configuration, testing & live implementation of the system.
This role is a 12‑month contract that is fully remote (35 hours per week).
Responsibilities
* Implement new Chart of Accounts & reporting structure in the new system
* Manage the logistics of migrating data from existing structure
* Work with other departments to implement the new reporting structure in all applications across the organisation
* Ensure the statutory reporting requirements are met for year end
* Ensure reporting on the new system meets the reporting criteria required by external stakeholders
* Plan and execute the migration of the financial data from legacy systems
* Ensure data integrity and accuracy
* Develop test cases and perform system testing
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues
* Train end users and create documentation and process manuals
* Input to the design and implementation of the general ledger function such as journal processing, accruals & prepayment processing
* Work closely with the Project Management team and vendors on the implementation
Qualifications
* Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA or CIMA)
* Experience in financial systems implementation and project management
* Strong knowledge of chart of accounts, statutory reporting and data migration
* Ability to develop test cases, troubleshoot and train users
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
