Key Responsibilities
* Operate all packaging department equipment and processes in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner as per operational instructions.
* To monitor all aspects of the process to ensure 1) product is produced within specification and 2) operational efficiencies are achieved (OPI).
* Analyse out of specification parameters and defects to discover root causes and solutions using TPM philosophies such as RCFAs and 5-whys.
* Ensure shifts are being handed over correctly using the shift control system.
* Report and investigate all incidents and accidents and carry out any necessary corrective actions.
* Carry out all required TPM activities across Pillars and teams
* Ensure and maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards within the Packaging department.
* Create and update all relevant QSET documents for HACCP, QM, EMS as required. Be involved in and carry out any corrective actions as identified through the auditing process.
* Your working environment
* Reporting to the Production Supervisors and working closely with the Lead Operator – Packaging to ensure all operational activities are completed across packaging in accordance with the schedule.
Knowledge And Experience
The ideal candidate should have:
* Previous experience of working in FMCG at operator level (packaging/manufacturing)
* Knowledge of the packaging process and process parameters
* Apprenticeship/Certificate in packaging/mechanical background
* Proficient in the use of computers/software packages
* Clear decision making skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills at all level
