Join the dynamic and expanding European division of a prestigious global investment bank. Our client is seeking a Senior Risk Analyst to join their second line of defence team. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong interest in financial markets and 3–7 years of experience in a risk or finance-related position. Key Responsibilities
* Lead production, reporting, and oversight of P&L, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and data integrity.
* Design and maintain tools to analyse performance and risk drivers, providing clear links between revenues and financial risks.
* Promote and embed a strong risk culture, supporting colleagues and stakeholders to act with discipline, transparency, and accountability.
* Drive process improvements and capability development within the Risk Oversight team, fostering excellence and continuous improvement.
* Provide cross-coverage and support across broader financial risk areas, including market, credit, and liquidity risk.
* Prepare reporting and presentations for senior management and governance committees, highlighting key risk and performance insights.
Key Requirements
* 3–7 years’ experience in financial risk management, P&L analysis, or related roles, with strong analytical and numerical skills.
* Solid understanding of financial products, markets, and regulatory frameworks such as CRR and LCR.
* Practical experience with risk and trading systems, as well as exposure to products including fixed income, equities, and derivatives.
* Proficiency in VBA and Python programming, with the ability to enhance reporting and analytical processes.
* Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to provide independent challenge.
* Professional qualifications such as FRM, PRM, ACCA, or CFA are advantageous.
