Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for at least one year, or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Verification will be required by the Department.
Job Description
This is a developmental opportunity; no experience is necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Duties
Operate and maintain light duty garden machinery/tools (e.g., lawn mower, rotator).
Prepare (dig) and sow community vegetable beds.
Maintain and weed vegetable beds and surrounding areas.
Prepare, clear out, and sow glasshouses.
Sow tomatoes and water as required.
Prune trees and orchard area.
Seed saving, planting, and harvesting; sales of garden produce.
Interact with the public and community groups.
Hours: 19.50 per week. Training will be provided; all mandatory training must be attended.
