Medical Secretary Grade IV Job Description

This role requires a highly organized and skilled individual to provide administrative support to the Diabetes/Endocrine Consultant and team.

* Provide secretarial services, including email management, preparing correspondence, typing, and diary management.
* Organize and maintain outpatient clinics, scheduling appointments, and managing waiting lists.
* Book virtual clinics, prepare clinic materials, and coordinate with admission staff and wards.
* Prepare letters, reports, and other clinical documents, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
* Liaise with patients, relatives, and internal departments, responding to queries and providing information.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. A strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures is essential.


Key Responsibilities:

* Administrative Support: Provide high-quality administrative support to the Diabetes/Endocrine Consultant and team.
* Clinic Management: Organize and manage outpatient clinics, including scheduling appointments and updating waiting lists.
* Communication: Liaise with patients, relatives, and internal departments, responding to queries and providing information.
* Documentation: Prepare and type clinical documents, including letters and reports.

Requirements:

* Degree in Secretarial Studies or equivalent.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
