The Role
This role is a subject matter expert for a set of managed applications. Responsibilities include daily system operations, supporting change and configuration management, and handling testing and defect management for new implementations, releases, upgrades, patches, and maintenance. Application Specialists collaborate with Business resources, Technology teams, vendors, and consultants. They must understand their application's interdependence with other systems, both internally and externally.
The role involves assisting in reviewing applications for new vendors and systems, evaluating technical documentation, and collaborating with the Architectural Standards Review Board (ASRB) and Information Security to ensure project architecture meets client standards. The role requires a solid understanding of server setups, integrations, hosted solutions, and data flows, with the ability to document and present findings to architecture boards.
Hours of work: 1pm to 9pm
Your responsibilities:
* Attend calls with third party Application vendors to understand technical requirements and business limitations.
* Assist in preparing appropriate documentation for architecture review boards.
* Aid in completing data governance, information security, and other relevant assessments.
* Provide application-level support and troubleshooting for applications Collaborate with application vendor(s) as necessary to resolve system issues.
* Write and maintain system documentation, process maps, test scripts, use cases, user stories, root cause analysis, and high-level integration and data flows.
* Participate in cross-functional teams to define and support business and technical requirements, operational processes, application strategy, and project/product implementation.
* Create and utilize light-weight scripting and file formatting utilities/configurations in support of applications and customer specifications.

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
* Strong experience in applications implementation, testing, maintenance, configuration, and support.
* Solid experience in analysing complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with users and technical teams.
* A customer-focused approach to ensure user satisfaction and positive experiences.
* Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for accurate troubleshooting and documentation.
* Advanced understanding of how to troubleshoot application/system performance
