We are seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer / Data Developer to join a fast-paced IT team within a leading organization. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and enhancement of data-driven solutions. They will leverage the Microsoft Data Platform, including Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, Power BI, and Paginated Report Builder (SSRS), to deliver production-ready solutions tailored to business needs. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects while enhancing your skills in data engineering and analytics. Coaching and support will be provided to familiarize the successful candidate with internal frameworks, coding practices, and architecture. Key Responsibilities: Design data flows and processes based on user requirements. Configure and manage DevOps pipelines to deploy solutions effectively. Collaborate with business analysts, testers, technical teams, and business leaders to deliver solutions that meet organizational needs. Develop high-level work plans and provide accurate estimations for effort and timelines. Create detailed documentation and maintain existing records for all data solutions. Participate in design sessions to contribute to technical discussions and solution architecture. Essential Qualifications and Experience: A relevant third-level qualification in IT or a related discipline. 3+ years of professional experience working with Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and Paginated Reports. Advanced proficiency in writing T-SQL queries. Demonstrated ability to translate user requirements into production-ready pipelines, data flows, and databases. Experience collaborating in a team environment with software developers. Familiarity with programming languages such as C# and Python. Ability to consume APIs using the Microsoft Data Platform. Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including the creation of deployment pipelines. Working knowledge of YAML. Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and version control systems. Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in deployed data processes. Certification in Azure Fundamentals. Desirable Experience: Experience with SSIS. Experience creating solutions using Azure Fabric.
