Role Overview:

Due to internal growth at Medserv, we are actively looking for a Medical Secretary to join our Remote Practice Management team based full time onsite in our Athlone Office with Hybrid option available after 1 years service. Medical Secretaries at Medserv are the key to providing the best possible service to our clients. You will be working closely with a Patient Administrator ensuring you are meeting and taking the lead on exceeding client expectations. Day to day you will be dealing with a high volume of calls, from patients, secretaries and other medical professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Managing a high volume of calls from patients querying appointments, handling consultants and secretaries' queries, taking payments, issuing correspondence, etc.
* Scheduling clinics
* Managing and reviewing medical dictations
* Scanning medical information and uploading to the PM system
* Participate in weekly team meetings with management
* Managing internal and external email queries
* Ensure clients are getting the best us of the service
* Assist with training of new members of staff when necessary
* Ad-hoc duties as requested by management

Requirements and Skills:

* Attention to detail is essential
* Comfortable speaking with clients or third parties, i.e secretaries, hospital personnel
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Ability to multi-task/be flexible to the needs of the role
* Ability to communicate/report effectively with manager/team members/clients and other third parties
* Ability to work to targets
* Must be a team player

Package:

* Salary: €29,500

Additional Info:

* For the first 12 month - This is a full-time position with rotating shifts (8am - 4pm, 8.30am - 4.30pm, 9am - 5pm)
