Contract Type: Full-Time / PermanentWe are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading contractor delivering a large-scale, mission-critical data centre project in Kilkenny, Ireland.
This is a site-based role offering long-term stability, strong commercial ownership, and the opportunity to work on a high-value, technically complex project within a fast-growing sector.The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of the project, working closely with the Commercial Manager and Project Team to ensure cost control, contract compliance, and successful financial delivery.Key Responsibilities
• Manage the day-to-day commercial administration of the data centre project.
• Prepare, manage, and report on project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts.
• Measure works from drawings and specifications and apply rates accordingly.
• Procure and manage subcontract packages, including tender analysis and contract award.
• Prepare and agree interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Manage subcontractor payments, change control, and commercial correspondence.
• Compile monthly cost reports and present financial updates to senior management.
• Ensure timely submission of claims, notices, and contractual entitlements.
• Maintain accurate cost records and manage risk and opportunity registers.
• Support project close-out, including final accounts and commercial handover.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and site teams to resolve commercial issues.Skills & Qualifications
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role on large construction projects.
• Previous experience on data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, or mission-critical projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
• Proven experience managing subcontractors and cost reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
