Responsibilities
* Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
* Supervise Conference & Events operations.
* Knowledge of menu content, menu changes, and promotional activities.
* Ensure all Team Members are impeccably presented and adhere to the correct uniform standards.
* Evaluate the performance of the Team ensuring the highest standards of service are always given.
* Set-up of the functions/events in accordance with the pre-determined standards of the operation.
* Ensure the Conference & Events areas are kept clean and tidy.
* Assist management with training of team members.
* Ability to multitask and take on extra responsibilities when required.
* Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
* Must be flexible and willing to work in other F&B Departments when required to meet the needs of the business.
* To actively train and develop the team and ensure all team members are fully signed off on all SOP training.
* To be proactive and give input into events and improvements within the department.
* To assist management with staff appraisals, disciplinaries and interviews.
* To be available for a variety of shifts, including early, late and weekends.
Health & Safety Duties
* To fulfil your obligations under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1989 and any revisions or additional legislation made thereto.
* To ensure that reasonable care is taken for health and safety of yourself, other employees, guests and any other persons on the premises.
* To keep work areas tidy and safe and report any hazard, loss or damage to management.
* To be aware of trained first-aid personnel on the premises and the location of first aid box.
* To observe all safety rules and procedures, including those laid down in the Health & Safety Statement.
* To carry out and promote fire and accident/other safety drills as directed by the hotel safety officer.
* To participate in all Health and Safety training scheduled for you and your team.
* To inform Management immediately if you are personally involved in any accident or incident on the hotel grounds or if you are witness to an accident or incident involving a third party.
