Medical Scientist/Biomedical Scientist Microbiology
Join our Microbiology Department at Eurofins Biomnis in Sandyford, Dublin 18. We support your career growth with training and development.
Full CORU registration is required to work as a Medical Scientist in Ireland. If you are a new graduate with a CORU-recognised BSc in Medical Science, and you complete the interview process, we can offer you a Clinical Scientist role, conditional upon graduation by 31st December 2025 and registration with CORU.

As a Registered Medical or Biomedical Scientist, you'll work within a team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of patient results, collaborating with senior staff to improve laboratory services and participate in quality assurance activities.
Responsibilities include:
* Using Laboratory Information Management Systems.
* Ensuring compliance with documentation standards (Training records, SOPs, Forms).
* Assisting with daily departmental tasks to deliver timely results.
* Analyzing specimens and authorizing results with accuracy.
* Communicating relevant information regarding patient safety.
* Participating in validation of new methods, equipment, and participating in quality control activities.
* Monitoring, recording, and investigating non-conformances and complaints.
* Managing reagent and consumable stocks.
* Maintaining instrumentation and ensuring good laboratory practices.
Education:
* Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Science.
Experience:
* Relevant microbiology laboratory experience preferred but not essential.
Licences / Certifications:
* Medical Scientist - CORU registered or Biomedical Scientist - HCPC registered.
Skills & Abilities:
* Strong work ethic, attention to detail, ability to work independently.
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* Team player willing to support colleagues.
