Physiotherapist, Staff GradeWTE 1.0 (Grade Code 314X) Specific Purpose Contract 6 months The Royal Hospital Donnybrook provides Sub-Acute, Stroke, Respite, Continuing Care, Neurological and General Rehabilitation services to adults, along with a busy Day Hospital.
The Hospital is an independent, voluntary, charitable organization.
Services are provided on a not-for profit basis.
The successful candidate will join a team of 11 Physiotherapists and 5 Assistants who provide intervention to all specialties outline above.
Excellent inter-disciplinary working is evident across all teams in the hospital together with a strong patient centered ethos.
Reporting Relationship The post holder will report to and receive direct clinical supervision from the Physiotherapy Manager, in Royal Hospital Donnybrook.
Purpose of the post: The provision of a quality Physiotherapy service, in line with standards of Physiotherapy practice.
To provide quality, client centred Physiotherapy assessment and treatment to identified client groups at designated areas within the hospital, as directed by the Physiotherapy Manager Eligibility Criteria Health A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
Character Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
Statutory Registration, Qualifications and Experience Required: Candidates must on the latest date for receipt of application forms:
(a) Be registered as a Physiotherapist, by the Physiotherapy Registration Board at CORU candidates must state CORU registration number on application.
Or provide their CORU application number and date of submission if still awaiting registration number.
(b) Possess a B.Sc (Hons) Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Dublin or
(c) Possess the BSc (Hons) Degree from the National University of Ireland Or
(d) Possess BSc(Hons) Degreein Physiotherapy from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland Or
(e) Possess BSc (Hons) Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Limerick Or
(f) Possess a Physiotherapy qualification at least equivalent to
(b),
(c)
(d) or
(e), and recognised by the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.

Character Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character Age Age restrictions shall only apply to a candidate where he/she is not classified as a new entrant (within the meaning of the Public Service Superannuation Act, 2004).
A candidate who is not classified as a new entrant must be under 65 years of age.
Proficiency in the English language A level of proficiency in the English language, written and spoken, is a requirement of all roles within The Royal Hospital Donnybrook.
