Responsibilities
* Install and commission new plant machinery and equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of plant equipment, ensuring optimal operation.
* Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
* Conduct inspections and assessments of plant machinery to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
* Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed, along with any necessary reports.
* Collaborate with other team members to improve equipment performance and operational efficiency.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations during all maintenance and repair tasks.
* Assist in training junior technicians on equipment operations and safety practices.
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
* Proven experience as a Plant Fitter or in a similar position within the construction or industrial sectors.
* Strong knowledge of plant machinery, equipment maintenance, and repair techniques.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
* Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and management.
* Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to different job sites as required.
