Cpl Healthcare is currently recruiting for an experienced
Person in Charge (PIC)
on behalf of a well-established nursing home.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for the overall clinical and operational management of the centre, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care in line with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the clinical and operational lead for the designated centre
Oversee the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring safe and effective care delivery
Lead, support, and develop a multidisciplinary team
Ensure compliance with all relevant HIQA regulations, standards, and national guidelines
Maintain a strong understanding of residents' clinical, social, and emotional needs
Promote a rights-based, person-centred approach to care
Manage resources effectively, including staffing and occupancy levels
Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and senior management
Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Essential Requirements
Registered General Nurse (RGN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
Minimum
3 years' experience
working with older persons within the last 6 years
At least
3 years' experience in a nurse management role
Previous senior nursing experience in a regulated care environment
Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)
Relevant post-registration qualification (minimum QQI Level 6 or equivalent)
Desirable / Ongoing Requirements
Commitment to complete (by March ****):
A Level 8 management/leadership qualification, or
A Level 9 postgraduate nursing qualification with a leadership/management module
Strong knowledge of dementia care and managing responsive behaviours (BPSD)
Proven leadership, organisational, and change management skills
