The brand supports Irish sport from grassroots to national level and partners with major sports organisations and events. This role focuses on store operations, sales performance and delivering an excellent customer experience.Job ScopeStore Managers are responsible for the overall operations and sales performance of the store and ensuring that the right people and product are in place to achieve and exceed company expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day store operations, including sales, staff, customer experience, security, health and safety, stock and resource management.Meet and exceed store targets and KPIs.Recruit, train, coach and manage staff in line with company policies, ensuring fairness and consistency.Manage cash, wage costs, budgets and systems administration (e.g., TMS, SAP).Drive in-store Visual Merchandising to engage, inspire and educate customers.Ensure in-store services are staffed and promoted (e.g., Safesize, Assisted Selling).Maintain security consciousness; monitor potential shoplifters and follow guidelines to deter pilferage.Ensure overall Health & Safety compliance; train staff accordingly.Identify customer requirements and develop additional non-direct business.Implement projects in line with company expectations and deliver store standards in line with audit requirements.Act as key holder and main contact in the event of alarm activation; provide cover for other stores as required.Perform any other activities as required to ensure successful store operation.Qualifications, Skills and Experience2/3 years of retail management experience (dependent on store grade).Excellent interpersonal, communication, people management and leadership skills.Passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience and understanding its impact on sales.Visual Merchandising experience is desirable.Strong product knowledge.Proficient IT skills including Excel, Email, SAP.3rd Level Business/Retail Management qualification beneficial but not essential.Additional BenefitsEmployee in-store discountLearning and development opportunities (Online training platform, Next Gen Management Programme, Education Assistance, Study Exam Leave)Service AwardsEmployee Assistance ProgrammeCompany Sick Pay/Maternity/Paternity Top Up (commensurate with experience)Employee Referral ProgrammeLife events acknowledgmentNote: This job description is not a static document and may vary in the future.
