Overview
Volunteers have always been central to the work of Sligo Social Services. Our incredible volunteers have always worked alongside professional staff to deliver vital services to those in need. We currently have about 250 volunteers in the organisation. Some of these have been involved in services for almost all of the life of the organisation, while others have begun giving generously of their time for free, in more recent times.

Volunteer engagement
The hours and frequency volunteers work depend on their own availability and on the service itself.
All of our volunteers are dedicated to providing a caring and professional service and continue to receive support and guidance from staff and Management.
Sligo Social Services would like to acknowledge the ongoing support of professional services, who often give advice and guidance on a voluntary basis.
There are many exciting and rewarding ways in which you can become involved in this crucial work which allows Sligo Social Services to continue a level of service to the community which we can all be proud of.
