Senior Safety Advisor – Dublin (Pharmaceutical)Client-side Senior Safety Advisor required for a leading global pharmaceutical client; Dublin based. Full-time, on-site role.The appointed Construction Safety Advisor will oversee high standards of Health & Safety management across construction sites, in addition to statutory obligations, and will coordinate with contractors, design teams and project professionals to implement best practice and continuous improvement.ResponsibilitiesEnsure site-based personnel comply with national statutory Health & Safety requirements for the construction project.Implement best practice and lessons learned across the project where practicable.Enhance and improve construction safety management procedures through visible on-site presence and active participation in day-to-day Health & Safety management.Implement a construction safety management program across the project.Assist in developing specific safety programs as needed.Provide independent review and oversight of construction Health & Safety procedures for each project; cross-evaluate projects, share lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement across the construction supply chain.Identify and manage high-risk activities; liaise with design teams and work with contractors in forward safety planning and coordination of works activities.Monitor and report Site teams KPI data for assessment across all construction projects.Review and assess Health & Safety implications of changes during construction.Develop and implement reporting and communications structures on Health & Safety management performance for each project.Monitor compliance between Health & Safety planning and actual works; assess compliance with agreed KPIs across all project stages; support HRA auditing and inspections.Coordinate Health & Safety communications at all levels; coordinate work activities on sites; identify, assess, and evaluate high-risk activities; provide training and education; review RAMS, safe plans of action, lifting plans, etc.; assess contractor and operative competency.Assess accidents, incidents and near-miss reporting; evaluate findings and monitor implementation of corrective and preventive measures.Assess contractor resources to enable effective implementation of the contractor’s safety management program.Encourage Health & Safety initiatives to promote positive safety behaviour; encourage contractor participation in structured safety awards schemes by recognized bodies.Qualifications and SkillsMinimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior Health & Safety role with formal qualification in health & safety management; relevant experience in pharmaceutical and construction Health & Safety management.Extensive experience in contractor communications and liaising with design teams and other project professionals.Degree and/or certification in Health & Safety profession.Strong communication and reporting skills.Employment TypeFull-timeSeniority levelMid-Senior levelIndustryPharmaceutical Manufacturing
