About the Role
This is a full-time hybrid position for a Principal Civil/Structural Engineer, with 2-3 days at our Enniscorthy office and the remaining days at home. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing engineering projects, overseeing design and construction, ensuring project compliance with industry standards and regulations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership: Oversee engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
Engineering Excellence: Lead the design and development of innovative and sustainable engineering solutions that meet or exceed industry standards.
Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to help them grow professionally.
Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to ensure projects are progressing as planned and address any issues promptly.
Requirements
Leadership Skills: Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in overseeing engineering projects and mentoring junior engineers.
Civil and Structural Engineering Expertise: Advanced knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles, including design and construction.
Industry Standards and Regulations: In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Project Management: Experience in project management, including budgeting and scheduling.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Sustainable Engineering Practices: Familiarity with sustainable engineering practices and a commitment to delivering environmentally responsible solutions.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
Professional Certification: Must be a Chartered Engineer.
