Job Description "> Key Responsibilities: "> * Perform scientific support activities in accordance with health and safety guidelines, global standards, and local agreements. "> * Deliver operational laboratory support managing team workload and service levels as required by research groups. "> * Preventative maintenance, cleaning, and documentation of laboratory instruments including pipettes, balances, PH meters, biological safety cabinets, freezers, and other equipment. "> * Train and mentor new lab associates. "> * Determine and organize training programs for lab associates. Ensure full cross-training is in place to develop the team and provide cover for all required service tasks. "> * Coordinate and support the lab services team to ensure productivity, quality, documentation, work schedules, safety, and housekeeping maintain maximum efficiency. "> * Reschedule resources if required due to absences or increases in testing by clients. "> * Educate daily with the site services manager to ensure information is shared effectively and actions are taken immediately. "> * Escalate issues to the site services manager for review and resolution support. "> * Lead the lab services team to ensure overall consistency in areas of technical delivery and inter-team and inter-department collaboration. "> * Provide technical expertise for all aspects of equipment maintenance and out-of-specification preparations. "> * Develop, coach, motivate, and enhance the morale of team members through effective team-building and recognition systems celebrating team success. "> * Report key metrics in line with relevant KPIs with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) "> * Conduct KPI reporting for governance meetings and huddle boards on-site. "> * Identify and support operational efficiencies by implementing process improvements resulting in time and cost savings for customers. "> ----------------------------------- Required Skills and Qualifications "> Education/Experience: "> * Background: Degree in Chemistry or Biology related subject. "> * Experience: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, previous experience within the pharmaceutical sector is essential. "> * IT Literacy, proficiency in Excel and SAP preferred. "> * Previous experience with people management. "> * Technical troubleshooting capabilities and demonstrable experience handling high-level tasks. "> * Personality: Problem solver, analytical mindset, and people-first attitude. "> * Valid driving license.
