Overview
We are currently seeking a Trainee Contracts Supervisor to join our team in Cork.
As a Trainee Contracts Supervisor, you will support your manager to efficiently manage the day-to-day surfacing operations and related works.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist with planning, organizing, and managing the site, ensuring timely delivery of materials in accordance with contract specifications.
2. Conduct site inspections before laying materials to ensure substrate suitability; determine quantities and place orders.
3. Adhere to daily work schedules, ensuring resources are adequate and optimized.
4. Coordinate site activities within the project schedule and contract requirements, including work by employees and subcontractors.
5. Assist with arranging maintenance of plant and equipment, ensuring routine maintenance and safe storage.
6. Ensure sites are left clean and tidy, meeting client satisfaction.
7. Maintain effective relationships with clients, providing operational updates.
8. Support staffing and role clarity, motivate staff, and review performance regularly.
9. Comply with statutory safety, health, and welfare regulations; ensure all contracts adhere to these standards.
10. Report and investigate accidents, and handle safety documentation monthly.
11. Follow company policies, procedures, and site rules.
Candidate Requirements
* Willingness to learn within the construction industry.
* Valid driving license.
* Preferred but not essential: experience in construction and use of surveying equipment.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Excel, Outlook, and Word.
* Problem-solving skills in a fast-paced site environment.
