Are you a compassionate Social Worker dedicated to supporting children with complex needs and their families? We are currently seeking Social Workers and Senior Social Workers to join our interdisciplinary Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT).
The Role
Service: Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT).
Location: Positions available across various community networks.
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week).
Salary: HSE Consolidated Pay Scales.
Social Worker: €47,823 – €66,750 (DOE).
Senior Social Worker: €65,391 – €76,143 (DOE).
As a Social Worker within the CDNT, you will provide essential psychosocial support, advocacy, and therapeutic interventions. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team alongside OTs, SLTs, and Psychologists to deliver integrated Individual Family Support Plans (IFSP).
Key Responsibilities
Family Support: Providing emotional and practical support to families following a diagnosis or during transition periods.
Advocacy: Assisting families in navigating systems and accessing entitlements, schooling, and community resources.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Contributing to the assessment and goal-setting process within the team.
Safeguarding: Acting as a lead on safeguarding concerns and ensuring all practice aligns with Children First national guidelines.
Senior Duties: (Senior Grade) Providing clinical supervision to staff grade social workers, leading complex case conferences, and contributing to service policy development.
Requirements
Education: A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Social Work.
Registration: Current registration with CORU (Social Workers Registration Board) is essential.
Experience:
Staff Grade: Experience in disability, paediatrics, or child and family services is highly desirable.
Senior Grade: Minimum of 3 years post-qualification clinical experience.
Skills: Strong understanding of family-centred practice, trauma-informed care, and excellent communication skills.
Transport: A full clean driver’s licence and access to a car is required for community visits.
