**Job Title:** Orthopaedic Nursing Professional
We are seeking a skilled Orthopaedic Nurse to provide high-quality patient care within our General Orthopaedic clinics. This role involves supporting the delivery of specialist orthopaedic nursing knowledge and skills to enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and identify orthopaedic/surgical candidates for pre-admission and post-discharge, ensuring safe discharge planning and referral processes.
* Act as a key resource for orthopaedic patients attending other departments or external services.
* Deliver patient education in both clinical and outpatient settings.
* Support the development and maintenance of accurate records for arthroplasty cases in line with national standards.
* Collaborate with surgeons and the wider team to coordinate patient care effectively.
* Ensure clear, accurate, and confidential communication of patient information.
* Assist in the development and delivery of education, teaching, and training programmes for staff.
**Requirements:** Current NMBI registration, Higher Diploma in Orthopaedic Nursing (desirable), minimum 5 years' post-registration experience in orthopaedics, strong commitment to patient safety and quality care, excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, ability to work independently with strong initiative and self-motivation.
