Senior Environmental Planning Manager
A leading role has become available within an esteemed organisation to spearhead a strategic approach and ensure regulatory compliance for renewable energy projects of various types.
Main Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement planning and consenting strategies across the development pipeline. Provide counsel to senior executives and align planning with organisational objectives and regulatory requirements.
* Planning Application Delivery: Oversee planning applications and consents throughout all project stages. Manage the consenting strategy and ensure alignment with commercial timelines.
* Project Management: Lead multiple complex infrastructure projects to successful completion. Ensure adherence to planning, environmental legislation, and policy.
* Talent Development: Grow a high-performing team responsible for planning and environmental matters. Guide the team in areas such as development, environmental assessment, stakeholder engagement, and statutory processes.
Requirements: A third-level degree in environmental science, engineering, environmental or building planning, etc. Circa 10+ years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a proven track record in planning, consenting, and delivery.
Skills: Strong knowledge of Irish/EU planning laws and environmental regulations, familiarity with renewable technologies, grid systems, and energy markets, ability to manage multiple projects with varying complexity.
