The Opportunity
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our site in Belmullet on an initial 6-month contract basis. As a Mechanical Engineer, the main purpose of the role is to ensure the effective coordination of all on-site engineering and maintenance activities to meet all required safety, schedule, quality and cost requirements.
How you will make an impact
* Lead a project team to manage, maintain and execute schedules for all project scopes as issued by the client, labour forecasting, material management
* Manage scopes as PSCS, while engaging with all stakeholders i.e. client, PSDP, designer, subcontractors
* Be involved and contribute to HAZOPs, HAZIDs, Activity Safety Reviews as required
* Develop handover packs for the Client and attend and schedule progress meetings with stakeholders
* Participate in technical reviews for engineering works
* Ensure all necessary permits to work requirements are in place prior to commencement of any engineering or maintenance works
* Resolve day-to-day site issues and liaise with and supervise the workers and staff in handling all construction activities
* Participate in, and promote compliance of KAEFER HSE and Occupational Health and Safety requirements as part of the risk management process
* Produce monthly and quarterly reporting on Project updates
* Manage temporary works and lead LEAN initiatives
What you will bring
The ideal candidate for the role will have experience in coordinating site-based engineering works (process, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation), as well as be experienced in coordination in the delivery of engineering contracts works in a large-scale industrial environment, such as process, power, or oil and gas industries, ideally with PSCS experience.
