The Team and the opportunity
We’re seeking experts in Java-based Technologies to join our System Engineering and Integration team. In this role, you will design and guide the architecture of Java applications while actively coding and developing. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to balance strategic architectural decisions with hands-on development. Your key responsibilities
* Coding new developments and enhancements.
* Designing applications, systems, or processes.
* Ensuring quality of program specifications and code.
* Adhering to code quality and testing standards.
* Implementing and automating integration tests.
* Managing complex Live Incidents.
* Coordinating team or release activities.
* Creating prototypes and screen designs.
* Supervising and coaching junior team members.
* Providing input to governance and status reports.
* Peer reviewing code changes.
Skills and attributes for success
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Understanding of SDLC, agile methodologies, and software design/testing.
* Expertise in Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Rest API.
* Experience with ActiveMQ and messaging technologies.
* Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
* Ability to develop unit tests (Junit).
* Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab, SonarQube, Maven, Jenkins.
* Technical solution design skills.
* Experience with delivery methodologies and application lifecycle.

To qualify for the role, you must have
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
* 6-10 years of software development experience.
Ideally, you’ll also have
* Project management and prioritization skills.
* Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
