Job Description
A DCS Engineer is required to work with our client on a 2-year contract in Co. Limerick.
Key Responsibilities
* Implementing minor changes to the existing DCS system, including process additions or modifications.
* Introducing new automation levels and maximizing the utilization of existing systems.
* Collaborating with other plant teams to support refinery activities such as alarm management, defect elimination, PHA, and MOC.
* Employing problem-solving, data modeling, and project management skills to drive success.
* Future-proofing existing Process Controls Infrastructure, including DCS, PLCs, and advanced instrumentation.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in chemical, electrical, automation, or mechanical engineering.
* Minimum 7 years' experience in process or process controls engineering in the petrochemical or mineral refining industry.
* Demonstrable expertise in at least one of the following areas:
* Process Control Infrastructure.
* PLS (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Rockwell).
* DCS (Honeywell and/or GE Mark VI preferably).
* Cyber protection solutions.
* Data modeling in heavy industry.
* Experience with OSI-Soft or OPC Connectivity is an advantage.
