My client is a specialized energy company, founded by a highly experienced management team where they develop, design, construct, operate, fund and maintain multi-technology assets to enable zero carbon for energy users. The main technology used in their projects are solar PV, battery energy storage and heat pumps.
They are looking for a new Electrical Design Engineer due to continued project growth in the business for their team. You will be responsible for electrical detailed design, process design, computer-aided design and some project management.
The successful candidate will design complex high temperature heat pump systems and solar power plants, and integrate them to the client’s infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
* Analysing customer infrastructure, research, prepare, then present coordinated design options.
* Using your experience of industrial power distribution systems to come up with value for clients.
* Support project requirements including basis-of-design, cost estimates, drawing documentation, systems design, and technical specifications.
* Engineering design to validate those solutions and detailed supporting calculations to back up those solutions.
* Attending project construction and design meetings and customer meetings
* Detailed design work.
* Create detailed electrical design plans, drawings, and specifications, adhering to local statutory codes and industry standards.
* Some knowledge of heat pump and/or solar projects is ideal
* Bachelors (Level 8) Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant degree
* A knowledge of DCS and PLC architecture
* A Knowledge of LV/MV systems, cable calculations.
* Valid Full Drivers License is ideal
