The position of Maintenance Fitter will be based in Ballinrobe, Co.
Mayo and may require occasional travel to other sites as required.
Duties will include, but not limited to:
Conduct maintenance activities in support of day-to-day production alongside our production managers and their teams.
Ensure equipment breakdowns are dealt with in a timely fashion in line with business needs, and document corrective measures as required
Support ongoing Preventative Maintenance Programmes
Work alongside our contractors and electricians to ensure new equipment at the site meets maintainability and operability requirements
Routine calibration, inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment onsite
Assisting Engineering Manager with maintaining all maintenance records and routine inspections in compliance with our licenses and accreditations
Assist and promote all continuous improvement programs with a strong commitment to quality and compliance
Provide support to emergency situations outside of regular workings hours, as required
Skills and Experience:
Minimum 3 years' previous experience in a similar position within the manufacturing industry
Qualification in mechanical automation and maintenance fitting and or in metal fabrication desirable
Must have experience in electrical fault finding
Strong knowledge of welding, fabrication and fitting techniques
Strong problem solving, analytical and trouble shooting skills
Good communication skills and ability to work well with a team
Ability to work in fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Flexible approach to work and commitment to completing tasks
Robotic programming experience advantageous
Demonstrated high performance history, proven ability to execute and get results
Excellent interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude
