 
        
        Job Title: Senior Waterway Manager
Senior Waterway Manager will be responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of the Erne System.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Manage resources, including financial, operational staff, and waterway assets.
 * Oversee day-to-day operations of regional depots at Portora and Drumboory.
 * Engage with Operations Stores to support procurement and purchasing of goods and services.
 * Participate in Response Team and provide out-of-office service on a rota basis.
Requirements:
Possess a Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent qualification qualifying candidate for chartered membership of a relevant professional engineering institution (ICE/IEI).
Possess minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in design or construction of civil/structural projects, with at least 2 years in an operational environment.
Hold current driving license and possess access to transportation enabling travel throughout Ireland and site supervision across a wide area.
Possess knowledge and experience in key issues related to Civil/Structural Engineering, particularly relating to construction in water-based environments.
Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing.
Possess computer literacy and competence in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and IT surveying equipment/engineering design tools.
Display excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate experience in developing technical specifications, conditions of contract, tender documentation, procurement, and framework contracts.
Have experience working in maintenance environments.
Be a chartered member of a relevant engineering institution.
Possess a health and safety qualification.
Understand environmental issues involved in waterways development.
Experience working with trade unions is beneficial.
