Role Overview
This is a dual-support role, combining:
* Core bookkeeping and financial administration, and
* Marketing & social media support to strengthen our online presence.
You will work remotely, managing your time independently while collaborating closely with management.
Key Responsibilities Bookkeeping & Finance
* Preparation and submission of VAT returns, VIES returns, and VAT RTDs
* Monthly bookkeeping including:
* Bank reconciliations
* Creditor reconciliations
* Allocating debtor receipts and preparing statements
* Posting month-end journals
* Preparation of management accounts (monthly / bi-monthly / quarterly)
* Preparation of accounts to trial balance stage for external accountants
* Assisting accountants with ad-hoc requests
* Company administration tasks
* Fleet management administration
* General ad-hoc administrative duties
* Marketing & Social Media Support
* Assist in managing social media accounts including:
* Facebook
* Instagram
* TikTok
* LinkedIn
* Create, schedule, and publish engaging content aligned with brand voice
* Monitor social media performance and provide insights for improvement
* Respond to customer comments and messages professionally and promptly
* Support marketing campaigns and promotions
* Stay up to date with social media trends and best practices
* Use scheduling and analytics tools effectively
* Basic graphic design support (an advantage, not essential)
Role Requirements Essential
* Minimum 1 year bookkeeping experience
* Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Excellent communication and time management skills
Desirable
* Experience with Odoo, QuickBooks, other accounting packages.
* Basic understanding of VAT, RCT, and payroll taxes
* Accounting Technician or bookkeeping qualification (advantage)
* Social media management experience
* Familiarity with analytics and scheduling tools
* Basic graphic design skills
