OverviewRelationship Director- Insurance and Funds IrelandBased in Dublin. Role to help implement the NBFI European business plan in Dublin, assuming responsibilities for new and existing clients, identifying new corridor revenue opportunities and building a book of locally-based clients on a highly selective basis.To Be Successful In This Role You Will HaveA track record and experience of business building and growth in the NBFI sectors with a proven ability to manage complex and relentless changeKnowledge of complex Corporate Banking product suite including Debt, Trade and Working Capital, Cash and transactional products and FX;A strong understanding of fund finance and in particular, subscription line/capital call facilities is highly desired as our Netherlands office is increasingly active in this spaceAn understanding of Financing Needs for Insurance clients including Debt and Trade Finance SolutionsUnderstanding of the Financial Crime risks associated with dealing with clients in the regulated payments (Fintech) sector and appropriate governance and controls to manage this riskBroad knowledge of risk management and control and accounting policies and financial controlInternational experience is particularly valuableFluent in business EnglishExperience working on Account Bank Roles within Securitised ProductsCross-border payments experienceDesirable Skills IncludeNon-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFI ) experience within a global corporate banking organisation, especially within a division active in Fund Finance, InsuranceAbility to work within a small, but ambitious local team where flexibility and adaptability are key qualitiesLeadership and management of others.Understanding of NBFI market, the different client types we serve.Experience of dealing with High-Risk client sectors.You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.This role is based in Dublin.Purpose of the roleTo establish and nurture profitable partnerships with both corporate and individual clients. It\'s the bridge between the bank\'s offerings and clients\' needs, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term success.AccountabilitiesManagement of client relationships to identify the clients financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance to support the analysis of data obtained from various sources, including the investment portfolio and cash flow, to identify trends, insights, areas for improvement and additional services to support client needs.Research and understanding of the client\'s industry trends, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations.Design of customised solutions that address the client\'s specific needs and objectives, incorporating a range of products and services from the bank\'s portfolio.Communication of the value proposition of proposed solutions, justification of recommendations, and negotiation of terms that are beneficial for both the client and the bank.Provision of guidance to clients to support their financial decisions, offering expert investment advice, risk management and wealth management strategies support, and updates on market trends to ensure a positive and continuous relationship.Assessment of financial, legal, and operational risks associated with client relationships, and implementation of measures to minimise potential losses.Documentation of all client interactions, transactions, and agreements to ensure transparency and auditability, and communicate findings effectively to support product development, service offerings, and the overall bank strategy.Monitoring of client satisfaction, revenue generated, and other relevant metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of relationship management efforts.All colleagues will be expected to demonstrate the Barclays Values of Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence and Stewardship – our moral compass, helping us do what we believe is right.
