Hygiene Operative Job
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hygiene Operative to join our team in Magherafelt.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the bakery, including daily cleaning of barrels, bins, mixing bowls, utensils, and racks. They will also participate in routine cleaning of equipment and machinery, manual handling, lifting, and moving machinery and equipment to ensure all appliances are thoroughly cleaned.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Hygiene Operative will participate in non-routine manual cleaning, such as ceilings, canopies, walls, and floors. They will maintain a clean, safe, and tidy environment throughout the bakery, ensuring that all areas are free from hazards and risks. The successful candidate will also follow detailed cleaning procedures, complete necessary records timely and accurately, and use cleaning chemicals and detergents safely and correctly.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the bakery.
* Participate in routine cleaning of equipment and machinery.
* Manual handling, lifting, and moving machinery and equipment.
* Non-routine manual cleaning, such as ceilings, canopies, walls, and floors.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy environment throughout the bakery.
* Follow detailed cleaning procedures.
* Complete necessary records timely and accurately.
* Use cleaning chemicals and detergents safely and correctly.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should have effective verbal and written communication skills, planning, and organizing workflow. Previous experience working as an industrial cleaner in a manufacturing and/or food environment is preferred, as well as chemical training and availability to start immediately. You should be available to work Day Shift and Night Shift - various start times, plus rotational weekend work as required.
