We have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Setting Out Engineer to join Suir Engineering Ltd. The position will be based on an EP&R project in Co. Tipperary.

Responsibilities
* Use surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser levels to establish accurate points, lines and levels onsite.
* Interpret and analyze construction drawings, plans and specifications to ensure accurate setting out of construction elements.
* Mark out reference points and guide construction teams to follow accurate dimensions.
* Monitor and inspect the quality of work, ensuring it meets project requirements and industry standards.
* Identify any discrepancies or deviations from plans and work closely with the project team to resolve them.
* Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards.
* Maintain detailed records of all setting‑out activities, measurements and quality checks.
* Prepare progress reports and provide feedback to senior engineers and project managers.
* Ensure that all setting‑out equipment is maintained, calibrated and in good working condition.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Land Surveying or a related field.
* 2+ years of experience in setting‑out engineering or a similar role in the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of surveying equipment (e.g. Trimble, total stations, GPS, laser levels) and software (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
* Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications and design documentation.
* Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to various project sites in the UK.
