Co-operative Housing Ireland (CHI) is the national organisation representing, promoting, and developing co-operative housing in Ireland.
CHI is an Approved Housing Body (AHB) and a member of the Housing Alliance. CHI work with various stakeholders in the housing sector, including Local Authorities, Government, aspiring homeowners, tenants, and developers and is subject to regulation by the Approved Housing Bodies Regulatory Authority and the Charities Regulator.
Since our foundation in 1973 we have provided nearly 5,500 homes through homeownership, shared ownership, and social rented co-operatives. With our membership of democratically controlled local co-operatives, we continue to manage over 4,000 homes across Ireland.
Role:
CHI is seeking a full-time, permanent "Clerical Officer" to work 35 Hours per week, Monday – Friday. The role will be part of the Asset Management & Property Services Team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Maintain an ongoing working relationship with CHI contractors to ensure they are completing assigned compliance works (e.g. Boiler, Lift servicing etc)
* Deal directly with CHI member tenants to assist with appointments, access requirements and queries.
* Oversee and maintain the administration duties for the assigned CHI Asset Management region.
* Ensuring that all received certificates, documents and correspondence are accurate and in line with the departments processes and procedures.
* To input information regarding tenancies, families, income details and others into the Castleton CRM System from member files.
* To promote strong teamwork and communication.
* Raise work orders and monitor invoices assigned to same to provide an overview of ongoing cyclical maintenance budgets.
* To generally ensure a pleasant and professional approach to tenant/members and colleagues.
* Any other relevant tasks that may be assigned by management.
Requirements:
* Experience working within a team in an office setting.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Exceptional administrative, I.T. Skills and attention to detail.
* Flexibility in approach to tasks and willingness to take direction.
* Resilience and ability to adapt to challenging situations.
* Permission to work in Ireland.
* Knowledge of accounting, CRM systems and the social housing or co-operative housing sector would be an advantage (but not essential).
