We are currently inviting applications for an Assistant Conferencing and Banqueting Manager to join Castlemartyr Resort.
Supported by our HOD's, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Conferencing and Banqueting operation in the resort.
Knowledge and experience in the following areas is essential:
A minimum of 3 years food and beverage managerial experience in events, bars and restaurants
Previous experience in delivering excellent food and beverage service
Proven history of executing and delivering events
Knowledge of Volante system is an advantage but not essential; training will be provided
Personal Qualities
Ability to show a positive attitude towards guests and colleagues at all times
Be self-motivated, and able to work alone with good personal organization
Excellent interpersonal skills
Exceptional attention to detail, organisational, negotiation and communication skills are a must, including fluent spoken and written English
Duties include but are not exclusive to:
Managing payroll costs of Conferencing and Banqueting in the resort
Organising the efficient operation of all Conferencing and Banqueting in the hotel
Maximising revenue by effective management of the hotel's operations across the food and beverage outlets and working with the sales and marketing team for Conferencing and Banqueting
Completing and posting event folios post event to ensure billing is correct and liaising with front-of-house collaboration
Staff communication and briefing
Furthering own and team's learning and development
Ensuring compliance with HACCP and health & safety policies
Being a visible, strong presence across the food and beverage outlets, including duty management when required
