Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the warehouse and stores facility
Lead, support, and develop the stores team
Maintain accurate stock control and inventory management systems
Ensure optimum stock levels to meet customer and operational requirements
Coordinate goods inward, picking, packing, and outbound deliveries
Build strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate competitive commercial terms
Liaise with freight and logistics providers daily
Drive continuous improvement and lean process initiatives
Ensure high standards of health, safety, housekeeping, and compliance
Support ISO audits and maintain operational documentation
Deliver excellent customer service for internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
Previous experience managing a warehouse, stores, or logistics operation
Strong leadership and team management skills
Experience with stock control systems and ERP software
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail
Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
Good understanding of health & safety best practices
Desirable: Experience within industrial, engineering, or technical environments
Knowledge of Lean business processes
Forklift licence
Qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related discipline
Experience using Microsoft Office and ERP systems
