Job Overview
The Clerk of Works / Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of construction projects. This involves overseeing and monitoring site activities, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, and maintaining quality control.

* Liaise with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety and quality standards.
* Track project progress, costs, and schedules, reporting any deviations or anomalies.
* Maintain detailed site records, including weather conditions, health and safety issues, work quality, and contractor attendance.
* Attend site meetings, take photographs, and maintain up-to-date records of drawings and specifications.
* Produce daily diaries and weekly progress reports, documenting site activities, decisions, and issues.
* Witness and report on testing, installation, and commissioning of building systems and components.
* Coordinate mechanical and electrical services, ensuring they comply with contract specifications.
* Assist in final project completion, including defect resolution, snagging, and handover processes.
* Facilitate delivery of as-built records, safety files, and operational manuals.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:

* A relevant third-level qualification in construction, civil engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional qualification.
* Certification or membership with the Chartered Institute of Building or Institute of Clerk of Works is desirable.
* A minimum of 7 years' experience, with at least 5 years spent on-site in a Clerk of Works role, ideally on large building projects.
* In-depth knowledge of construction technology, mechanical and electrical services, and building regulations.
* Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD is advantageous.
* A clean driving license and access to a suitable vehicle.
* Safe Pass or other relevant construction safety certifications.
