Amicus has been engaged by a well established, growing and ambitious firm to assist them recruit an experienced Director. For the right individual there is an open path to partnership. The firm is entering an exciting growth phase and is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Director or Senior Manager in a firm where the path to partnership is limited. The role will focus on providing accounting, audit and advisory services to the SME market.
The Role:
1. Ensuring the timely delivery of client assignments in accordance with the department’s workflow and billing targets.
2. Organising, planning and completion of statutory accounts, audits, management accounts and tax returns (Corporation Tax and VAT) in accordance with the workflow plan.
3. Preparation and completion of ad-hoc advisory assignments.
4. Managing a portfolio of clients.
5. Building direct client relationships (as per the portfolio assigned).
6. Delivering monthly billing targets.
7. Completing all engagements in accordance with the firm’s agreed procedures.
8. Capturing and reporting all KPI’s relevant for the purposes of the team’s Key Performance Management.
9. Leading and managing the Accounting & Advisory SME team, together with the department’s partner.
10. Working with the partner and wider team to ensure all department KPI’s are met.
The Person:
1. ACA / ACCA / CPA Professional Qualification.
2. 5 years + PQE with Irish Practice experience.
3. Knowledge of the Irish tax system.
4. Proven track record in leading, managing, building and developing a team of accounting professionals.
5. Strong technical knowledge & skills of Accounting and Auditing standards (IAS, IFRS, Auditing Standards etc.).
6. Ambition. The department is growing rapidly.
7. A good understanding of accounting software packages.
