About OneTouch Health

OneTouch Health is a fast-growing, ambitious, and award-winning healthcare software company transforming how care is delivered across the UK, Ireland, and beyond. Our platform supports thousands of residential, homecare, and community care providers, enabling safer care, stronger compliance, and better outcomes for tens of thousands of service users every day.

Following significant private equity investment, OneTouch Health is entering its next phase of growth—unifying acquired platforms, modernising our architecture, and accelerating our roadmap in AI-powered care management. Quality, reliability, and regulatory confidence are central to this journey.

At OneTouch Health, we build systems that make care safer, smarter, and more connected. Our engineering teams are focused on delivering scalable, secure, and observable software that carers and providers can rely on every day.

Role Overview

The Senior QA Automation Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring delivery confidence across the OneTouch care platform. This is a hands-on, automation-first role, embedded within cross-functional product squads and working closely with Engineering, Product, and SRE teams.

You will be responsible for designing and maintaining robust automated test frameworks, embedding quality early in the development lifecycle, and supporting frequent, reliable releases in a regulated healthcare SaaS environment.

This role is not a manual testing position — it is a senior technical role focused on test automation, quality strategy, and continuous improvement at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation & Quality Engineering

* Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks covering UI, API, integration, and regression testing.
* Champion an automation-first approach, reducing reliance on manual testing while maintaining strong risk-based coverage.
* Embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support frequent, confident releases.
* Ensure test suites are reliable, maintainable, and provide fast feedback to engineering teams.
* Identify quality risks early and proactively address gaps in test coverage.

Quality Strategy & Delivery Confidence

* Act as a quality advocate within your product domain, influencing engineering and product decisions with a quality-first mindset.
* Partner with Engineering Managers and Product Managers to define test strategies aligned to roadmap priorities.
* Support release readiness through clear quality metrics, defect analysis, and risk assessment.
* Contribute to improving QA standards, processes, and tooling across the wider engineering organisation.

Collaboration & Platform Modernisation

* Work closely with backend (PHP / Laravel), frontend (React), and platform teams in an API-first architecture.
* Collaborate with SRE and Platform teams to support reliability, observability, and production readiness.
* Support integration and unification of acquired platforms by ensuring consistent quality approaches across products.
* Contribute to improving engineering efficiency during periods of growth, change, and integration.

Mentorship & Continuous Improvement

* Mentor and support junior QA engineers, helping to raise automation capability and QA maturity.
* Share best practices and contribute to knowledge-sharing across squads.
* Continuously evaluate tools, frameworks, and approaches to improve quality outcomes.

Required Experience

Essential

* Significant experience in QA Automation within a modern SaaS product environment.
* Strong hands-on experience with automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, REST/API testing).
* Proficiency in at least one automation-friendly language (e.g. JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python).
* Experience testing API-first and microservices-based architectures.
* Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration.
* Experience working within Agile (Scrum) delivery teams.
* Comfortable operating in regulated or compliance-driven environments.

Desirable

* Experience in healthcare, regulated SaaS, or compliance-heavy domains.
* Exposure to performance, reliability, or security testing.
* Experience supporting scaling engineering teams or platform consolidation.
* Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or similar).

Key Competencies

* Pragmatic, risk-based approach to quality in complex systems.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to influence and challenge constructively across disciplines.
* Comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
* Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What Success Looks Like

* High confidence releases with reduced production defects.
* Strong automation coverage embedded across CI/CD pipelines.
* Clear ownership of quality within product squads.
* Improved delivery efficiency and reduced manual testing effort.
* Consistent quality standards across a growing, multi-product platform.

Benefits – What will you get in return?

* Opportunity to have real impact in a Private Equity–backed, high-growth healthcare SaaS company.
* Work on a platform that directly improves care quality and safety.
* A collaborative engineering culture that values ownership and continuous improvement.
* Hybrid and remote working options.

* Health insurance contribution.
