About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Environmental Scientist Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive, supporting River Basin Management Plans and Programmes of Measures.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, policy, or a related field, with excellent communication and project management skills.
This is a fixed-term contract position for a minimum period of 1 year, with opportunities for renewal or extension.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the development and implementation of River Basin Management Plans and Programmes of Measures.
* Support the coordination of catchment management and public participation elements of the Water Framework Directive.
* Contribute to the development of policies and strategies to protect and improve water quality.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree in environmental science, policy, or a related field.
* Excellent communication and project management skills.
* Experience working in a similar role or in a related field.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
