Business Sector: Dairy Ingredient'sJob Title:Environmental GraduateJOB PURPOSE:Monitor, optimize and operate the Wastewater treatment plant in compliance with Industrial Emission License parameters and the annual budgetREPORTING TO:Environmental ManagerLOCATION:Nenagh, Co. TipperaryRESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:Monitor the daily operation of the WWTP and support the WWTP team to ensure compliance with the site Industrial Emissions License (IEL).Assist in WWTP operation to ensure a lean approach is used and daily operational KPI are monitored and communicated to support data driven decision making in the WWTP. Ensure timely communication to site operations if there are production impacts due to WWTP conditions.Maintain weekly & monthly reporting metrics on plant operation to target a "lean operation" approach & budgetary compliance.Liaise with the waste contractors to manage sludge collection & movement.Assist Environmental Manager with purchasing & stock requirements for the Wwtp and laboratory,Assist Environmental Manager with Scheduling WWTP routine maintenance requirements, schedule calibration and the annual maintenance plan.Ensure all Waste- water metering and sampling systems are maintained and calibrated including the production site waste sampling system.Issue daily COD report to the operations team and conduct weekly and monthly trending of data.Operate the WWTP laboratory and ensure all testing is completed to schedule, calibration of testing is completed and review all daily results and report any issues to the Environment Manager.Prepare all external Laboratory sample testing in requirements with the IEL.Provide operational cover for WWTP Operators as required.Assist complaint investigation in relation to Wastewater Treatment to implement immediate corrective and preventative actions to minimise the negative impact on the river and the local community.Conduct weekly River sampling and condition monitoring.Ensure all Health & Safety criteria are complied with and WWTP housekeeping is to a high standard.Liaise with relevant bodies e.g. EPA, in relation to the WWTP and support EPA EDEN correspondence, EPA notifications, NMP and complaints as required to support the Environment Manager.Support the role of the Environmental Manager and compliance to the requirements of ISO & site standards as relevantQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE:Bachelor's degree in environmental science or a related discipline.KEY SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES / CORE COMPETENCIES:Proficient in data management systems, trend analysis and reporting.Written and spoken English fluencyHigh PC literacy is essentialDriving LicensePERSONAL ATTRIBUES / CORE BEHAVIOURS:Effective interpersonal, communications and management skills with a strong team ethic.Ability to work cross functionally and build strong relationshipsExcellent organisational / time management skills.Strong self-discipline and a structured approach to improvementsHigh motivation, Flexibility and the ability to work on own initiativeAlthough primarily located in Nenagh the successful candidate will also be required to work in the Tipperary Town site.
