Role Overview
Drive the execution of operational strategies and initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and performance within the organisation.
Bridge the gap between strategy and execution, ensuring that operational goals are met and continuously improved.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Strategic Execution
Translate strategic goals into actionable operational plans and initiatives.
Process Improvement
Identify, analyse and implement improvements to existing processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Performance Management
Track, analyse and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with various teams, including production, engineering and support functions, to ensure alignment and smooth execution of operational programs.
Project Management
Lead and manage projects related to operational improvements, ensuring timely delivery through the application of the most appropriate project execution (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc).
Change Management
Implement and manage change initiatives related to operational improvements, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption.
Communication
Effectively communicate progress, challenges and solutions to stakeholders
Continuous Improvement
Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for optimisation and implementing best practices.
Systems Review & Management
Continuous review of operational technology systems to ensure 'fit for purpose'.
Identify any system gaps or duplications and propose/implement improvements.
Key Skills & Knowledge
Significant experience in a programme/project management role, ideally in food or similar manufacturing sector
Demonstrated leadership, and fast paced delivery, of operational projects
Strong presentation and communication skills to multi-level stakeholders
Experienced in the application of project execution methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum etc)
Proficiency in the use of project management tools / software
Experienced in leading cross functional matrix project teams
Strong knowledge of operational technology systems, previous experience of review & upgrade of same would be an advantage
Education & Qualifications
Minimum Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or related field
