About Us
Mulligans Pharmacy is a family‑run company with 19 locations across the southeast of Ireland. With over 260 employees, we take great pride in being a community‑based pharmacy group that prioritises exceptional customer care. As part of our continued growth, we are opening a brand‑new high‑quality cafe with a drive‑thru, located within an integrated health and wellness complex featuring a health centre, pharmacy, and doctor’s office.
The Role
Versatile and fast‑paced role where you will be the face of our cafe, serving both walk‑in customers and our busy drive‑thru clientele.
Responsibilities
* Speciality coffee mastery – expertly preparing and serving all espresso‑based drinks, filter coffee, and specialty beverages to the highest standard of taste and presentation.
* Customer service excellence – providing a warm, friendly, and efficient service experience, taking orders accurately, handling payments, and resolving any customer queries with a positive attitude.
* All‑rounder duties – supporting all areas of the cafe, including food preparation (sandwiches, light meals), serving, clearing tables, and ensuring the display units are fully stocked and appealing.
* Drive‑thru efficiency – maintaining speed and accuracy for drive‑thru orders to ensure a quick and seamless experience during peak times.
* Cleanliness & hygiene – maintaining the cleanliness of the coffee station, service areas, and seating areas, adhering strictly to our food safety and hygiene protocols.
* Product knowledge – developing expert knowledge of all menu items (food and beverage) to confidently make recommendations to customers.
Essential Requirements
* Proven barista experience – demonstrated experience working with high‑quality equipment and a solid understanding of specialty coffee preparation (grinding, extraction, milk texturing, latte art fundamentals).
* Customer‑focused – genuine enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.
* Speed & efficiency – ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure, maintaining quality standards in a high‑volume environment (especially with drive‑thru service).
* Reliability – excellent time management and reliability, with the ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings.
* Team player – a positive, collaborative approach and a willingness to help the team wherever needed.
