Portlaoise Innovation Centre DAC t/a The CUBE Low Carbon Centre of Excellence are seeking a new Board Member for their Board of Directors with a background in Sustainability.
Located in the heart of Portlaoise, Ireland’s first Low Carbon Town, The CUBE is a dedicated Low Carbon Centre of Excellence supporting SMEs and enterprises to decarbonise, innovate, and grow within the green economy. We deliver programmes, events, and training that enable businesses to reduce their carbon footprint while building resilience and competitiveness for a sustainable future.
We are looking for an individual with a background or experience in Sustainabilityto contribute to the effective leadership and oversight of The CUBE as it continues to grow and deliver on its mission. This board member will contribute to shaping The CUBE'slong-term vision for delivering sustainability supports to businesses and the community, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations and evolving regulatory landscapes.
While previous board experience is preferable, it is not essential. We encourage applications from individuals who are interested in developing board-level experience and who share a passion for climate action, enterprise development, and supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy.
The Board meets approximately 6 times per year, and meetings are held in Portlaoise.
